Traffic commissioner (TC) for Scotland Joan Aitken has disqualified for life the directors of a company fined £200,000 for environmental offences. The Department of Transport has announced that as of Friday 16th August fixed penalty levels will increase. This follows a public consultation in 2012 including road safety groups and police services.
Following a consultation, two exemptions will be implemented this Autumn. The first exemption benefits both mechanics and valets delivering vehicles.
